Riley × Aviva Stadium: Free Period Products at Ireland's Most Iconic Sporting Venue
Riley partnered with Aviva Ireland to make Aviva Stadium the first major Irish sports and events venue to provide free, sustainable period products across all facilities.
Overview
Riley partnered with Aviva Ireland to make Aviva Stadium the first major Irish sports and events venue to provide free, sustainable period products across all facilities.
Periods are a normal part of life, yet for too long, live events and sports venues have treated them as an afterthought. This partnership changes that. By placing Riley’s organic period products in every bathroom and changing room at Aviva Stadium, Aviva Ireland and Riley are setting a new standard for inclusive, people-first venues.
With over one million visitors passing through Aviva Stadium each year, the impact is immediate and significant, sending a clear message that access to period care is a right, not a luxury.
The Challenge
Despite growing awareness around menstrual health, public venues, including sports stadiums, have been slow to address a simple, practical need. The data tells a stark story:
These aren’t marginal issues. They represent millions of missed moments, early exits, and decisions not to show up at all. For venues welcoming fans, players and officials of all backgrounds, this is a gap that needs closing.
The Solution
Riley’s period care products, made from organic cotton, are now available free of charge across Aviva Stadium, including:
- All female bathrooms
- All accessible bathrooms
- Player and referee changing rooms
With nearly 100 facilities across the venue, the rollout covers every corner of the stadium where it matters most. It was launched in May 2026 alongside a historic Women’s Six Nations fixture, a deliberate signal that inclusive facilities and the growth of women’s sport go hand in hand.
Riley’s organic cotton products are free from harmful chemicals, making them better for bodies and, thanks to plastic-free packaging, better for the planet, directly supporting Aviva’s wider sustainability ambitions.
"Access to period products shouldn’t depend on where you are or what you’re doing. Period care is a basic part of inclusion, yet too often it’s overlooked in public spaces.
Our partnership with Aviva has already made a real impact by showing what’s possible when organisations take meaningful action. By bringing free, sustainable period products to Aviva Stadium, we’re helping make thoughtful, inclusive public venues the standard, not the exception.
Together, we can change the game and ensure that sport and live events are places where everyone is supported, considered and valued."
— Fiona Parfrey, Riley co-founder
Impact & Results
The partnership delivers value across three dimensions:
For fans and visitors
No one has to leave a match early, miss a concert, or sit through an event in discomfort. Free, accessible products remove a real barrier to a good experience.
For players and officials
Changing rooms are stocked so athletes and officials can focus entirely on performance, not logistics.
For the venue
Aviva Stadium signals to its 1 million+ annual visitors that it is a genuinely inclusive, forward-thinking venue, one that considers the real needs of every person walking through its doors.
"Anyone who has ever been caught out at an event knows how stressful it can be to realise there’s no access to period products when you need them. Too often, this means people can’t enjoy sport, concerts or live events, or feel forced to leave early.
As long-standing supporters of women’s football and rugby, we want to play our part to ensure Aviva Stadium is a place where inclusion is backed up by practical action. By partnering with Riley, we’re helping to normalise period care in public spaces and ensure that inclusion is visible, practical and long lasting."
