Savills & Riley Period Care
Building an Inclusive Workplace Through
Accessible Period Care

Over 90% of surveyed Savills employees agreed that having access to period care helps them feel less stressed when managing their period at work.
Introduction
Savills is one of the world’s leading real estate advisors, with a strong presence in Ireland operating through offices in Dublin, Cork, and Belfast.
With over 450 employees in Ireland across 22 service lines, Savills is recognised not only for its expertise in property but also for its commitment to fostering a supportive and progressive workplace culture.
As part of this commitment, Savills partnered with Riley two years ago to provide free and accessible period care products in the workplace.
To explore the impact of this partnership, we spoke with John Sexton, Divisional Director, and Aisling Joyce, Surveyor, while also gathering insights from employees through an anonymous feedback survey. After all, building an inclusive workplace starts with listening to the people within it.
-
John Sexton,
Divisional Director, Property Management
“It's a basic mark of respect for our colleagues and we felt very aligned with Riley's values“
-
Aisling Joyce,
Surveyor, Retail
“It’s one less thing to worry about when coming into the office. When I heard that Savills was introducing Riley, I felt relieved.“
Filling a Critical Gap: Why Savills Introduced Riley
The idea to introduce free period care products came directly from Savills Care Committee. Employees had raised that a basic need was missing, and leadership listened.
“We felt that this was a basic requirement. We supply our staff with everyday essentials and felt period care should be on that list. Period care is a mark of respect for our colleagues.“- John Sexton, Divisional Director
Leadership saw immediate alignment with Savills values — from inclusion and employee care to sustainability and chose Riley as a partner to deliver on that vision.
How Riley is Supporting Savills Employees
Since implementing Riley’s period care solution, Savills has seen real impact:

Greater presence at work
77% of Savills employees said Riley products help them manage their period in a way that allows them to be more present at work. In addition, 72% noted that access to products reduced the likelihood that they’d need to leave work early or miss a meeting during their period.
“I can’t remember what we used to do before, having to run to the shop while worrying about managing work & clients. It’s just not sustainable long term“- Aisling Joyce, Surveyor

How Partnering with Riley Aligns with Savills Business Values
For Savills, this initiative was never just about convenience, it was about values. The company places strong emphasis on aligning its operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly around sustainability and wellbeing. Choosing Riley was a natural fit.
As a certified B Corp, Riley meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance. Our products are made from 100% organic cotton and designed with the planet in mind — they don’t hang around, as they’re made from biodegradable materials.
Employees reinforced the importance of this decision: 74% of surveyed staff said it was very important that Savills provides sustainable period care products.
Creating Lasting Impact, Together
The impact goes beyond Savills own workforce. Riley products have also been rolled out across a number of Savills serviced and managed buildings, extending the positive impact of sustainable period care to clients and tenants.
When asked to sum up the initiative in a single word, Aisling chose “Empowerment” and John chose “Respect.” Two simple words that capture the lasting change Riley and Savills are building together.
We’re proud to support Savills in shaping a more inclusive and equitable workplace, and we’re excited to see how this collaboration will continue to evolve in the years ahead.
